Bright Light help develop WaterfordIreland.ie

November 10th, 2010

We are delighted to have recently launched Waterford Ireland, in conjunction with
Terry Murphy Media & Octopus Design. We seem to be all over the local papers with this one
- great start.

A new web site promoting Waterford as a tourist destination was launched recently by Redmond O’Donoghue – Chairman of Fáilte Ireland at WIT.

Terry Murphy Media, Octopus Design & Bright LightThe website is a collaborative effort between 3 local Waterford agencies, Terry Murphy Media who conceived the idea and directed the operation; Garth Ablett of Octopus Design who was responsible for the web design and its look, and William Hayes of Brightlight who programmed this huge site of over 1000 pages.

Redmond O’Donoghue said he warmly welcomed the new initiative as it fitted perfectly with Failte Ireland’s marketing strategy for Ireland as a whole and the South East especially.

Terry Murphy described the web site as a "Citizens Initiative" which was designed to persuade visitors to base themselves in Waterford City while touring the surrounding areas. Among the features on the site are 6 suggested touring routes – fully described with maps and liberally illustrated with sumptuous photographs that show the South East and the City of Waterford at its very best.
